Robbies script for ‘The Farmer’s Daughter’ was one of four chosen for the Screen Gems 05 short film scheme, involving Tornado Films, Sgrin and production mentor ‘Karl Francis’.

Filming started on location at Cowbridge in September 2005. The first screening was on St David’s Day, March 1st 2006, as part of the Screen Gems showing at Cineworld, Cardiff. Other showings have been at a special FILM SHED night, also in March 2006.

The film continues to be successful and has just shown at the Cardiff Film Festival November 2006. Aswell as becoming a chosen Grand Finale film at the PORTOBELLO FILM FESTIVAL, LONDON.

It was in competition at the Seagate Foyle Film Festival, Northern Ireland for Best International Short.

Chosen as a highly recommended film and came in the top ten out of 340 films as part of the TURNER CLASSIC MOVIE short film competition.

The Farmer's Daughter now rests in the Film Archive of Wales in Aberystwyth on 35mm print and can be viewed in the PEEPSHOW, which has now clocked up over 4000 views on YOU TUBE.
